Introducing "Team Cohoes" !

Last week's Advertiser include an introduction to the Sabo slate of Democratic Committee candidates in North Greenbush with one notable exception, their candidate from Cohoes, Matthew Sousa running in ED 7. The letter can be viewed here.

That letter was mailed to some residents last week with some hand written notes from Mary Frances Sabo urging support for her candidates. The return address was the Sabo homestead with the title "Team North Greenbush".

Whoa, what happened to their star candidate from Cohoes who was thanking everyone on Facebook March 1st as he moved out of town only to have his petition circulated the same day in ED 7 falsely stating his address to be here in North Greenbush?

That type of petition fraud is rare and especially when a couple of lawyers are engaged in it, one of whom actually circulated the petition and brilliantly got Councilman Rogers from ED 1 to sign it. Not too smart and an ineligible signature as well.

But smart has not been the trademark of this group who are trying to erase the candidate from their hand book by removing him from their proposed slate. Sorry guys, you created the petition with his name on it. You circulated knowing he had moved out of the county no less and you didn't tell the your friend who unwittingly circulated the petition.

Fear not, Team Cohoes is preserved because while you can erase his name from your press release you can't take him off the ballot in ED 7. So Democrats in ED 7 Wynantskill, we thought you'd like to see what the Sabo candidate in ED 7 from Cohoes looks like because he didn't gather a single signature.
We don't expect him to be voting in town because if he tries he'll face a potential charge and election officials are aware of his status.
