It seems relentless, the onslaught of news reports and editorials critical of the conduct of Lou Desso, the embattled North Greenbush Supervisor.
Short and sweet, today's Times Union editorial notes that Desso seems to get special treatment and if you look back, you see his sense of entitlement everywhere.
Getting his taxes reduced 16% by going to another GOP controlled town, not paying his $7000 restaurant fundraising bill until a court forced him to pay $5000 of it, but refusing to pay the outstanding balance of $1270. Refusing to say and prove he paid a contractor his $10,000 share of a sewer extension. Refusing to provide proof he paid the town engineer what he should have paid for a map. Getting free top soil and grading for his house and lot.
We could go on but you get the point Lou is special and deserves special treatment. Whether its using his influence to get an undeserved $90k county job or one for his son, Lou Desso uses town government to enrich himself. And his town board majority, Spain, Hoffman and Bott, well see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.
