From the Campaign Trail

A sign of the times comes from the fight over Democratic Committee seats as Team Cohoes, aka The Sabo Fan Club candidates battle back against Democratic Chairman Dan Ashley's sign war.

Sheet rock knife in hand, Team Cohoes cut up an old campaign sign from Mrs. Sabo's failed run for supervisor and stuck on the lawn of town board candidate Mike Helinski. For weeks it must have been getting to her that she had no signs and that Ashley and the entire slate of official North Greenbush Democratic Committee candidates had lawn signs in each district. The official slate used blue and gold signs to keep the team identifiable and used postcards to match.

No word yet on what Team Cohoes plans to do to counter Ashley's Mobile Campaign Truck. But they will need more than a sheet rock knife and a sign that fails to mention what Sabo is running for. And what of the rest of Team Cohoes signs. Sorry but it appears they are on their own, just like their missing candidate from Cohoes. There have been no sightings of the Cohoes residents the Sabo folks put on the ballot for Committee in ED 7 using his old Wynantskill address after he had moved. That bit of petition fraud is fine with the Sabo Fan Club. They are pretending they know nothing about the Cohoes candidate. They even omitted him from their quickly manufactured web site.

Do not fear, we are happy to provide the missing Team Cohoes candidate's picture.
They should feel free to readmit him to the group and explain why their actions using his prior town address after he moved should be acceptable. They can explain why Mrs Sabo's vote with Republicans cutting the salary of the new town clerk $20,000 is acceptable. They should explain why Sabo and candidate Melissa Shanley signing the designating petition of the Republican Town Clerk candidate was acceptable. Perhaps they will explain why Mrs Sabo failing to disclose to voters the order of her employer NY State, not to run in the Supervisor Primary was acceptable. They might even explain why not one of the Team Cohoes crew has donated a single dime to the campaign of the Democratic candidate for Town Board???

None of this it seems is explained on their website. None of it is explained in their lovely letters in the Advertiser. In the end, nothing they do wrong is wrong. Sounds like they have a place in the Trump campaign.
