The Times Union is reporting that developer David Mulino's project near the Panera Bread on Rt 4 has been shut down by the Army Corp of Engineers for his failure to obtain a permit. Amazing!
North Greenbush officials clearly knew it was required and ignored it. Mulino contributes heavily to Lou Desso who throws his weight at town enforcement officials. He also contributes heavily to county Republicans.
What is also interesting is that HVCC not only sold the land to the developer but apparently holds the $540,000 mortgage. Should a public college be in the mortgage business? Should they be loaning money to needy students and not developers?
