There's not a lot to be said here because this speaks for itself. Two men have been indicted by a Rensselaer County Grand Jury for wrongfully collecting unemployment benefits. In total, they collected about $3000.00.
It is not known if they, like Legislature Chairman Martin Reid, were part of a criminal referral by the State Labor Department recommending to the DA that they be prosecuted.
We do know that the State referred the case of Martin Reid to the DA where it sits under a blanket of "protection". Reid did much better than the two who were indicted, collecting $15,000, still unrepaid, from the State while collecting a $30,000 salary as Legislative Chairman. Maybe they should have collected more to avoid prosecution?
You can read the story from the Times Union here.
