Spain Refuses to Carry Democratic Petitions

Word behind the scenes is that the so called Chairman of the North Greenbush Democrats is refusing to carry his party's petitions. Surprise? After all, this is the guy who endorsed the GOP endorsed slate for town offices, who rants over Democratic county legislators and who is in political bed with Jim Germano.

Apparently Spain is carrying a petition for congressional candidate Tracy Brooks which should stir the ire of Ron Canestrari who is a close friend and supporter of Paul Tonko who is also seeking the party nod for the seat.

Perhaps Jeff Spain forgot that Germano’s daughter is on Canestrari payroll in the Assembly. Perhaps he forgot that Canestrari himself has a petition to circulate this year. Whatever the reasons, Spain is clearly a Republican who is posing as a Democrat to put his GOP allies in power. He and the town clerk must also support Joe Bruno for State Senate instead of Democrat Brian Premo. My, my, is that a tough sell at party fundraiser or what? Then again when you realize who prpares the party committee seat petitions for Spain and his crew you begin to see the big picture. The GOP side of the Rensselaer County Board of Elections is rumored to have done the petitions for Spain.

Back to Troy?
Rumor has it that Jim Germano is maneuvering to get his grandson back on the Troy PD as a lateral from another town. Rumor also has it Al Spain the city personnel director is pulling the strings. No problem Jimmy!

Are C.B. Smith, Dan Ashley and Bob Price ever going to stop crying, whining and using their version of yellow journalism because they don't get their own way?

When is the current administration going to stop whining and crying in the name of paying Casale more money than was agreed to in the contract? An amount voted on by town residents.

What is the point of having a contract if you don't abide by the terms and conditions found within?
