Local Blog Takes Aim at Builder

We stumbled on this local blog created by a town resident who is very unhappy with the workmanship of his builder. The development is Lake Meadows in Wynantskill.

We'll let you decide the merits but we'd have to say the driveway slope permitted is at best a failure of the town codes to protect residents. Something that somebody ought to take a look at after they figure out what they are doing with the mess they permitted in Water District 14.
Here is a link to the blog.

Lou's Back!

Yes it's always fun when "Lobbyist Lou" Cotrona re-emerges from his Citizens Club which morphed into the "Reformed Democrats" which morphed into a Democratic Committee which sold out the party to the GOP endorsed slate of candidates and developers in the last election.

Lou has written a letter after he or his pal Richard Crist, read the State Comptroller's Audit of Water 14 upside down. Lou's world, pictured here,

blames the people who voted for the audit, not those he is allied with who voted against it and not the Conservative Supervisor who Lou supports despite his record of giving away the store to the Conservative Party contractor with a million dollars in questionable payments.

Lou invites you to read the audit in the obvious hope you won't bother and instead believe his absurd rendition of its conclusions worthy of a chapter in Alice in Wonderland.

Do read Lou's letter which was in the Advertiser last Thursday and is here in the Record today. Then read the truth, the audit itself and judge Lou for yourself as we have, a water boy for the Water 14 fiasco.

I find it reprehensible that these "Concerned Clowns" are constantly fighting a battle they cannot win. Why not admit to your mistakes- try and correct them or step away. People will only remain gullible for so long. I am a very patient person- but the arrogance shown by this Board is punishable by Law or SHOULD BE! Stop the Madness- NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link to my blog about my experience with CW Custom Builders. I appreciate that you did not take sides but rather allow your readers to make up their own minds.

Hi Alex,

You are most welcome. Stories like yours are not uncommon here. What is uncommon is someone taking the time to explain to others the difficulties one can face if unaware.
Our own view is that the town code should be sufficient to protect people from some of the construction you explained and unfortunately it does not.
The Building Department has been too busy with politics and not busy enough suggesting ways to protect citizens and protecting taxpayers from out of control contracts with politically connected water contractors.
Let's hope your efforts pay off by protecting others from similar experiences.
Keep in touch!
