Democrats Will Remember on Memorial Day

North Greenbush Democrats will honor our veterans once again at this year's Memorial Day Celebration. Look for them despite efforts by the Town Clerk to ban them from the parade.

Grant Hearing Dispels Evers Contamination Claims
It's amazing what the presence of a couple of experts can do to tame the wild claims made just weeks ago by Mark Evers and Ernie Kern in an effort to deprive the town of a state grant.

It's equally amazing how ignorant the pair was as they made those claims of massive contamination on Main Avenue that existed only in their minds. Their logic: refuse the grant so we don't find it and cause a shutdown of Main Avenue businesses.

When confronted with facts, reason and purpose from non partisan experts at last evenings public information meeting, the claims crumbled and Evers and Kern became passive observers quietly approving the grant and the good it will bring to North Greenbush.

It was a relatively small crowd who came to listen and to learn the purpose of the State grant. No one seemed opposed , especially after hearing the facts which were ignored by Evers and Kerns last month.

Too bad so much energy had to be expended to get them to do the right thing. Thankfully, reason carried the day, this time.

Belated Birthday Wishes for Ed Cassino

We missed the celebration but Happy BD to Reformed Dems Vice Chair Ed Cassino.

Good Luck to John Hebert

North Greenbush resident and DEMOCRAT John Hebert is getting married this weekend. Good Luck!

The acceptance of the Brownfields Grant application is not reflected anywhere that I can see on the Town of North Greenbush website, which stops with the April 24 Board minutes.
