The June meeting of the Rensselaer County Democratic Committee will be held in North Greenbush next week. The meeting will designate candidates for various offices including Joe Bruno's State Senate seat, delegates to the Judicial Convention from Rensselaer County, Assembly, State Committee and Congress.
Naturally, we expect Jeff Spain and Kathryn Connolly to endorse Joe Bruno and GOP candidates as they did here in North Greenbush in last year's town elections. Nothing like a Democrat who dances with the opposition party!
All of the Congressional candidates seeking to replace Mike McNulty are likely to attend as is Brian Premo, who is expected to be endorsed to run against Joe Bruno. Again, the exception is likely to be Jeff Spain and the Connolly's.
The meeting is Thursday May 22nd and starts at 6:30 PM at the American Legion on Main Avenue. It is open to the public although only candidates and Democratic Committee members may speak and participate.
