Where's the Contamination?

You might guess that we received many emails from concerned residents wondering where Evers contamination is on Main Ave, what it is and whether they are safe? Rather than answer them individually, this post will answer all.

As always, the facts take time to catch up with the misleading and irresponsible statements of the town supervisor and his sidekick councilman. Slowly, people are learning that Evers and Kern made up this story to find an excuse to vote against a grant that would greatly benefit the town.

It's really no different than their refusal to adopt the completed Comprehensive Plan or their refusal to accept any responsibility in the mismanagement of the contract in Water District 14. These folks live in a state of uninformed paranoia and North Greenbush will suffer for it.

Soon we expect Evers will be paid a visit by County, State or Federal officials wanting answers about his wild claims about serious contamination. The letter to these agencies from the County Legislature will cause a significant headache for Evers. He won't be able to hide in his office or refuse to return calls. His assertions will require that he produce answers that are discernible and provable to officials whose job of protecting the environment is taken very seriously.

We look forward to those visits and the humbling experience Mr.'s Evers and Kern will endure as a result. In the mean time rest assured that there is no serious contamination that anyone knows of on Main Avenue.
