Birthday Greetings!

Well, today is town Supervisor Mark Evers birthday. So many ways come to mind to mark the occasion that cyberspace would suffer an irreparable traffic jam if we were to list them all.

Suffice to say that the taxpayers of Water District 14 send their regards along with their empty pockets. That big rock he and the other neighborhood kids used to play on hasn’t been the same since the days that young Mark learned the social skills based on devotion to truth and the honor that comes with it.

55 isn't so bad and today they have pills for just about everything except competence and ethics. We're sure the Conservative Contractor will be stopping by with birthday greetings while demanding more money for water 14 which remains unfinished with no plan to get it done. Apparently, gifts include a lawsuit to get paid more. So sit down and blow out the candles while we sing you this ditty to the tune of the old "Conservative" classic "Happy Birthday".

Happy Birthday to you,
From Conservatives true blue,
Time to send us more monnney,

or your Chairman will sue!

Raucous Town Board Meeting
.
Last night's town board meeting is reported on two local media pages and was featured on CH 6 news whose reporter proved determined to get a response from the hiding Town Supervisor on his knowledge of over runs in Water 14. Reporter Craig Smith confronted Evers with the documents he signed known as "vendor claims" with the attached Building Department authorizations which must be signed for Evers to sign. Those document list running totals of expenses to date clearly showing Evers either misled or is incompetent when he claims not to have known the spending on the district was exceeding the contract and later the bond value. Here is a link to WRGB story which includes news North Greenbush is being sued by the Conservative contractor for, well more money! As Evers left the building, he was visibly angry and used profanity as he insulted CB Smith. Temper temper!
.
There is another account of the meeting here in the Troy Record who defenders of Evers like to simply dismiss as "idiots". Well idiots seem to write well. We'll have more on the meeting next week including the Record's report that Evers and Kern are anxious to turn down a State Grant to identify any remaining contamination on Main Avenue and if needed, money to clean it up and revitalize Main Avenue. The grant could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars but the Conservative wonders apparently believe the contamination is so serious that it's identification could lead to a shutdown of businesses on Main Avenue. Imagine that, another Love Canal on Main Avenue and they don't want the State to help clean it up. Wow!!! Are they drinking the high priced water???
.
Seriously, let's wish the Supervisor a Happy Birthday, if you can locate him for comment.
