Evers and Slate File Financial Report, well Almost!

After months of pounding and secrecy and the threat of a lawsuit to be modified, Mark Evers, Lous Desso and Al Spain have filed a wholly inadequate and incomplete report with the State Board of Elections. We say incomplete and inadequate because none of the required data, the complete address of the donor or the recipient of the expenditure as well as the all important Check Number, was included on the report which is more than two and a half months late.

The tardiness prevented voters from knowing that development interests were the primary financers of his committee called “Bringing North Greenbush Together”. A look at the report available here shows the trio raised and spent $5,493.00. Development interests such as the attorney for the new mall at 4 & 43, the prior attorney and prior owner of the development were among the contributors of $100.00 or more which must be reported under State Election Law.

Notable as well is the payment to the North Greenbush Democratic Committee which has under Chairman Jeff Spain, refused to comply with State Election Law and file any report with the State or county since assuming the Chairmanship.

Tomorrow a Periodic Report is due at the Board of Elections and hopefully, Mr. Evers Treasurer will file a complete report listing the missing data. Hopefully as well, Mr. Spain will file his first ever report with the State and County Boards of Election and avoid a pending avalanche.
We’ll keep you posted!
