It's hard to believe, an unprecdented write in effort by a candidate whose name was not even on the ballot has taken the lead in the race for Schodack Supervisor.
Ray Lemka who has family here in North Greenbush, took a 14 vote lead over Beth Secor after a recanvass of the machines yesterday. Secor was on 3 party lines and was easily voted on the machines.
The last time anything like this happened was in Albany County when Jack MacEneny wage a remarkable write in for a seat on the County Legislature against party choice Richie Myers.
Absentee ballots will decide the race but we give the edge to Lemka since he made an effort to gather absentee votes in the belief they were easier to execute than a machine write in.
The DA's Race
As of yesterday, Democrat Rich McNally holds a 278 vote lead on the machines with more than 1600 absentees yet to be counted. Absentees generally reflect the machine count absent an effort by the two sides to gather these votes. Hold on to your hats.
More Charges
The contractor in Water District 14 is facing more charges in the incident which occured on election day at the home of CB Smith. The new charges likely involve trespass and harassment and will be handled by the district attorney's office. Casale is scheduled to appear in town court Tuesday.

We hope Greg can pull this out! McNally used lies and half-truths and Greg didn't follow because he's a better person than that. Greg clearly has more courtroom experience. In the end, we hope that Greg can shove that "lunch-pail" you know where!
It appears the Town Clerk and other "democrats" continue to root for theGOP candidtes because he introduced democrats at the county dinner who paid and supported the party while she and other supporters failed to show or pay.
go McNally...if you ever seen the two of them in court it would be easy......McNally.
