On Wednesday, we reported that the Chairman of the Reformed Democrats managed to file a whopping 6 signatures of Democratic voters to designate the party’s candidate for District Attorney. Each of the petitions given to the entire county committee in June had space for 15 signatures and it requires a significant team effort from committee members from every town and city in the count to gather enough signatures to place the party nominee on the ballot. County wide, more than 1000 signatures are needed for a Democrat and the candidate depends on the committee members to act as his support team to get him or her on the ballot.
The Chairman of the Democratic Committee in North Greenbush was very busy last week, not gathering signatures or coordinating the work of the 16 committee members he chairs, but instead, suing his county chairman over bylaws he doesn’t like. He was also busy sending another vicious letter to members of the Democratic Committee bemoaning the fact that he can’t have his way on who sits on the County committee from North Greenbush and attacking Chairman Wade on the bylaws approved by the county committee in June.
Spain made no effort to coordinate the activities or monitor the progress of the committee members from North Greenbush, either on the “reform” side or the Ashley side. A Chairman is supposed to gather the petitions of his committee and present them to the county chair so they can be assembled into a single petition which is later filed with the board of Elections. Instead, Jeff Spain sent his Vice Chairman to the County Board of Elections and actually filed the petitions of three committee members from his faction making them worthless to the body of petitions being assembled for filing on behalf of the Democratic candidate for District Attorney. Nice work Jeff and Ed! That’s Ed Cassino for those of you who don’t know his Vice Chairman. Ed is better known as F. James Germano’s personal chauffeur since he has often been spotted with the true power and brain of the so called reform dems. The duo’s efforts at spying on the Democrats Club Golf Day were reported here on the North Greenbush Pipeline.
By contrast the Ashley faction turned in petitions from each committee member. Mr. Spain has a long way to go on both team work and understanding his role in a county wide election effort.
Petition Deadline: Today is the deadline for filing designating petitions for party nominations. It’s a test of organizational strength and skill which will help establish candidates. Senator Bruno’s Albany minions have been circulating petitions for the blank check development slate which includes, Evers and Desso. I addition they are circulating a designating petition for a DEVELOPER. Mike Carey, the Casale Excavating/Jim Germano choice for Highway Superintendent.
Financial Filing Disclosures: The Democrats Club of NG filed on time and showed a surprising large balance of more than $4000. The Town Democratic Committee stands in violation of the law by failing to file any disclosure report. Their Treasurer, the town Receiver of Taxes, Kyran Devery. Nice job Kyran!

6 signatures, S(pain) should be ashamed of himself. What an example to set. And Devery - anyone who votes for him should have their head examined. Talk about Mr. Personality, what a slug.
