Prayer of the Faithful

Do they speak for God too, asked the emailer to the North Greenbush Pipeline? The questioner was writing about the North Greenbush Democratic Committee members who conducted the infamous “purge trial” of fellow party members. Curiously they and their purge victims are all of the same religious faith as well as political faith.

Even more bizarre is the fact that most of the purgers and their victims are from the same parish. How curious that a bunch of Catholics or at least people who claim to be Catholics, would engage in conduct reminiscent, without the physical torture, of the ancient church where the faith was “cleansed” of heretics.

Since you asked, here is a list of the Committee members voting to purge fellow committee members and fellow Catholics from their “faith”. From St. Jude’s Parish, Francis Guiliano, an Usher in the parish, Doreen Connolly, a Eucharistic Minister in the parish, Kathryn Connolly, James Davey, Kyran Devery, Jeff Spain and William O’Neil. From St. Michael’s Parish come Anthony Farina and we believe Edward Casino.
The purge victims, Dan Ashley and C.B. Smith are from St. Jude’s Parish.

Now, the question is whether it is something in the Catholic faith that instills such outrageous behavior or is it something in the water these folks have been drinking and paying for with the endless contract of Casale Excavating the purgers support?

Again, we’re pretty sure the faith would not hold their actions in high esteem so we continue to recommend that you not drink the water. It is known to cause bizarre behavior. But parishioners beware, if you disagree with this “committee” you too might be purged from your party and who knows, maybe your parish.
