Just one day after Desso was asked at the Town Board Meeting why he has not paid a $10,000 fee to install his share of a sewer extension line and why the contractor has not bothered to bill him, the two meet to discuss strategy at Stewarts. The contractor is pushing through a major housing project near the Stewarts and like Moscatiello's Restaurant bill, Lou hasn't bothered to pay the money. The contractor is experiencing financial problems with many liens filed against him. He billed Lou's neighbor in full but has not billed Lou since the line was completed in March.
Free dirt, free sewer line installation and a nearly free restaurant bill (the court forced him to pay $5000 but he's refusing to pay the $1270 balance).
So you guess the topic of this conversation. Were they:
A)Figuring out whether he will be forced to pay the $10,000 he owes due to the publicity.
B)Figuring out a common line of response to explain why he hasn't paid the $10,000 bill.
C)Writing a check to Casale, Moscatiello's and the dirt delivery contractor to erase the bad press.
You noticed Lou is on his cell phone. The FBI is especially skilled at listening to these devices.
