FBI Enters North Greenbush Investigation

The Times Union has verified that the ongoing State investigation into development favors in North Greenbush has now become of interest to the FBI. While the article is short on  details, it nonetheless should raise a red flag to any developer in the town who got some special consideration from the GOP administration. The FBI need only look at the long list of developers who contributed to the now former Supervisor, Lou Desso which is posted on the Financial Disclosure pages of the State Board of Elections and begin asking questions. Some of those contributions are unlawful on their face because the exceed the maximum contribution limit.

Desso's sewer extension and whether he ever paid the contractor/developer who installed it remains unanswered. Desso would have owed him two thirds of the construction costs with the other third paid by the third home owner in the extension district. The same contractor has a large development off RT 4 and one can only wonder if the FBI will find out what if any favors were granted there and to other developers with deep pockets who contributed to Lou Desso.

The Times Union has repeatedly documented unlawful acts by developers, one in particular who was cited by the Army Corp of Engineers and ENCON. He has an attorney who, sadly, is part of the town Democratic Committee and is now attempting to take control of the party, perhaps in furtherance of his law practice. Each time a project comes before the town board requiring a vote, his wife is forced to recuse herself.
