It's official! Lou Desso got a lesson on the law today from State Supreme Court Justice Michael Lynch.
He cannot hold a conflicting elective office and has vacated his seat on the North Greenbush Town Board. The vacancy which is immediate and retroactive to his date of signing the oath of office, allows the town board to appoint a replacement until a special election for the unexpired term this November.
Al Spain, keeping his policy of appointing non town residents to town jobs, is already looking for a non town resident to fill the vacancy. That a boy Al!

It's kinda interesting that Desso considers this a piece of legal "trickery". Does this man have any ethics?
