Well at least they had the brains to cancel the scheduled meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Committee for 7PM last evening. After all, the Chairman, Al Spain never bothered to notice the meeting as required under the State's Open Meeting Law.
They figured it out late yesterday afternoon after some inquires were made on a long canceled Public Hearing which was left on the town's web page despite being canceled a month ago due to the failure of the CPC to properly quorum a meeting scheduling such a hearing.
At 4:14 PM yesterday afternoon, the town clerk's office sent an email out informing folks that a meeting was being scheduled for the CPC for next Monday, August 24th at 7PM. The public is left to assume that the meeting scheduled by a unanimous vote for last evening was being canned due to a lack of diligence by the CPC. In any event, none of the Committee members showed up at town hall. Word travels fast in North Greenbush.
