Tomorrow night there is a Town Board meeting and as of this morning there is no agenda posted on the town's underused web page. What is present is the public information meeting on the State grant the town received which is likely to turn into a finger pointing session on fliers and dishonest claims of contamination made by Mr.'s Evers and Kern which caused the fliers and, well, you know the rest. Here is the link to that agenda item.
The town has invested a great deal in creating a web page. Yet minutes for all of the 2008 Town Board meeting have yet to be posted. Nor are any minutes for Al Spain's Comprehensive Plan Committee meetings. Nor is there even a link to the town's IDA. Quite a lag, we'd say. One set of minutes is posted for December 2008 that is an eye opener. The last board meeting of the year is linked here and you can read Evers and Kern reneging on more campaign promises than we can count with regard to the passage of the Comprehensive Plan.
Like the little kid who didn't get his way, Evers and his sidekick Kern vote down adoption of the plan despite their campaign pledges. They vote against paying the former town engineer his salary for 6 days work before Evers fired him. This was the meeting which one board member missed allowing Evers and Kern to stop everything including the scheduling of another meeting to pass the things they were stopping because of one absence.
The Albany Amp is mentioned in the Troy Record's Monday Talespin as is David Soares investigation into Rensselaer County activities. It is now on the web here.

Quick question. The Town Board is meeting at the same time as Committee is meeting at the Legion on Thursday/
There seems to be more things wrong with the town's website than listed in your blog. There are no minutes from the town's Planning Board for April or May of this year. There are also no minutes of the Zoning Board since January. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the minutes are to posted within 10 days of the meeting, according to law. I'm also not sure the the town is posting any and all public meetings, on it's website, as required by law.
You are correct, both events same night.
Good point on the other minutes as well. What good is a web site if it fails in its most basic mission, to keep folks informed.
What happen to the meetings being televised?
