Oh that vote. We almost forgot. Why it's the Town Board majority’s fault that it’s not being held. No, it’s the Town Attorney’s fault. It can’t be Mark Evers fault because he is so careful about obeying the law. Hmm, maybe that explains why he hasn’t said a peep about his political adversaries failing to hold the vote on Evers plan to bail out his political buddies who own Casale Excavating and who Chair the Conservative Party which endorsed….why Evers of course! The vote has been scheduled since July for October 16th and Evers and his Conservative buddies and running mates haven’t issued a single press release criticizing those he now blames for not holding the vote.
You’d think Evers would have been screaming from the mountaintop that those bad old Democrats whom he despises did something wrong by not holding the vote, required by law, to bail out his political buddies with another $830,000 to pay for his mismanaged contract in Water District 14. Evers was so sure the entire town would love to pay for the overspending that he personally sponsored the measure.
Then voters put the brakes on his plan by filing petitions requiring their right to VOTE before Evers borrows the bucks. Whoops! On second thought, this vote thing isn’t such a good idea after all. Evers votes against holding the vote last July, votes against the very resolution to borrow which he sponsored months earlier.
Why? He knows the voters are going to send him and Casale packing! So he doesn’t want the vote to take place. He sits on it for months doing none of things he was supposed to do to make it happen and obey the law. Then he starts to blame his political opponents for his failure to hold the vote only AFTER they figure out he has no intention of obeying the law and executing the vote.
Doesn’t it make you feel good that Casale and all of the big party bosses endorsed Evers and Casale’s Vice Chairman Lou Desso. Hold on to your wallets and vote the rascals out on Row F, the Greenbush Party. You can also read the blame game in today's Troy Record.

Louis Desso grabbed the phone recently and called Paul Vandenberg’s radio show as it stumbles its way off the air forever. Desso said he was going to clean up North Greenbush and get rid of all those bad influences in town. Hmm. A convicted felon goes on Vandenburgh’s radio show to announce he’s getting rid of those bad influences in town and intends to clean it up. Sure makes us feel better, how about you Paul, giving a convicted felon time on the airwaves to make such a speech. Lou forgot to mention his Chairman from Casale Excavating and their desire to get more money from the already overspent 6.4 million dollar contract in Water District 14. He forgot that little $83,000 check his running mate Evers gave to Casale without Board approval in violation of the law. He forgot to mention the sabotaged referendum Evers sponsored to get taxpayers to pay another $830,000 to bail out Water 14 and give Casale even more money. Gosh, he even forgot to mention the law Evers violated requiring this vote and the fact that he, Evers is acting to deny the most basic right of a taxpayer, the right to vote.
Then again, what are we to expect from a guy with an arrest record like Lou Desso whose idea of a fair election is to deal with the party bosses and get yourself on all 4 party ballot lines. Then you don’t have to debate yourself, because Republican Desso agrees with Democrat Desso and Conservative Desso agrees with himself, the others and Independence Desso. We even bet Republican Desso agrees with Democrat running mate Evers who is on record agreeing with Republican and Conservative Evers who endorses Independence Evers.
So, about cleaning up this mess and bad influences in North Greenbush. Lou and Mark, one of your party bosses hasn’t bothered to file a Financial Disclosure Statement for the last 85 days. Now he’s late filing a second report due last Friday. How about cleaning up at least one of your party chairmen before you start cleaning up the town and its bad influences.

Today is Day 87 for the North Greenbush Democratic Committee violation of State Election Law requiring the on line filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. They are also 4 days late on a 32 Day Pre General filing due October 5th.Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery.

Shouldn't the town supervisor be supervising the election procedure, rather than saying "not my job"? Doesn't "supervisor" mean to inspect the work, actions and performance of others?
It reminds me of the time I called the town to complain about the shoddy work done by Casale in front of my house. I was told there was nothing the town could do, because "Casale is in charge". My response, "The Town should be in charge, since we are paying Casale over half a million dollars to do a job! I think we should have some say in how the work is done."
Its all a game of "pass the buck" in this lovely town.
How true is not the Supervisor suppose to be the leader "in charge" to see that the job is done.
The attorney is the employee has he been ordered to do anything sounds like he has not.

I had the misfortune to be directed to the KATIE BALONIE BLOG recently. I was taken back by the discusting remarks by KATIE and the abusive supporters for mr. SMITH.
Lou DESSO first of all is a loud mouthed,sloppy ,mob type being. He has no business in the arena of politics. He IS THE FIRST TO PROFESS HE WANTS THE BEST FOR NORTH GREENBUSH and WANTS EVERYONE TO GET ALONG.""CRAP"" He and KATIE with her bag of phonies who bash everyone they can't win over to their "DEVELOPER ATTITUDE"- constantly dredge up lies to their advantage- and manipulate the system to their advantage. They would expect that DESSO'S past will not catch up ESPECIALLY when he wants to represent the taxpayers?
I know for a fact that the Town Clerk is in charge of the elections and votes. Katie never layed that job off on anyone else before. Did she forget that part of the job, like she forgot to sign the oath book. What a loser!!!
