Greenbush Gathering

First the County Democrats and last night the new Greenbush Party put together a successful fund raising event at Moscatiello’s Restaurant. The event drew a large crowd from every neighborhood of North Greenbush in support of candidates who have become what they call, the only choice other than the slate endorsed by four party bosses in an effort to make your vote in November meaningless.

One face in particular drew a warm welcome and that we’re told was former Postmaster and Senior Statesman of the Democratic Party, Raymond Dufour. His presence was lauded by Councilman Richard Fennelly as a sign that the message is understood and citizens are listening.

The crowd estimated around 90 at times, packed the banquet room and kept staff busy servicing a buffet line. Kevin Flanigan introduced the candidates, each of whom said of few brief words of intent and thanks. One candidate noted the lawless attitude of the incumbent administration reminding all that a referendum on the bailout of the Conservative Chairman’s company holding the Water District 14 contract is tomorrow (today)and that your right to vote is being denied by the Supervisor.

We’re sure those words would have been dismissed by restaurant guests who were assessing the number of party goers as they came in. Casale Excavating Conservatives Judith Wos and Husband David were having a Monday night dinner in the adjoining dining room. There were far more guest than the couple fingers and toes could accommodate which was not the message they were hoping to bring back to their leaders.

Party faithful were also happy to carry home bright yellow lawn signs announcing the new party to town residents. “Vote Row F , Greenbush Party Your Only Choice, boldly printed in black on a bright yellow sign board.

Today was Election Day

As we mentioned, today was the day the town wide referendum was to take place on Supervisor Evers plan to bail out his Conservative Party benefactors I Casale Excavating whose Water District 14 contract has used up $740,000 beyond his stipulated bids and is unfinished ten months into the year which began with a scant 10% estimated remaining work. Evers plan would have allowed him to borrow another $830,000 to pay for the overspent mismanaged contract in WD 14 and make the entire town pay for it. The Supervisor got a case of cold feet when voters turned in petitions stopping the bailout and requiring a vote which the Supervisor acted illegally in denying by simply doing absolutely nothing to hold it.

We wonder how Casale feels that his pal Evers has done nothing to get him more money since backing away from his plan? With allies like Evers, Casale may be scratching his own head before election day before pulling levers for Evers who has no idea what to do next. Stay tuned!

Late Financial Disclosure Reports

Kyran Devery
Today is Day 94 for the North Greenbush Democratic Committee violation of State Election Law requiring the on line filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. They are also 11 days late on a 32 Day Pre General filing due October 5th.Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery. Also the Casale Conservative's are 11 days late filing their 32 Day Pre General Report.

Shouldn't Mr. and Mrs. Wos be home filing their overdue financial statements for the Conservative Party? How can they possibly continue to blame computer problems for their failure to obey the law. Let's face it, the law just doesn't apply to these people!

You can assure Judy & David Wos that there were many more supporters who weren't there last night.

Looking forward to seeing those signs! They will be the first sign of Democracy in this town in a long time.

The Wos' spying on the Greenbush Party Event...looks like a true sign of insecurity. Hope they enjoyed viewing the big turn out!

Judy and Dave Wos are retired and eat out a lot. Last night they were at Moscatello's with their daughter and grandsons. Sunday they were at brunch with their entire family at Westernview Golf Club in Guilderland. Since you seem so interested as to where they eat, tonight they will be at Paolo Lombardi's, stop by and buy them a beer. Wednesday they'll be eating in Colonie. If you like, you can be kept updated on a weekly basis or, you might try minding your own business.

What we can discern from this is that Mrs. Wos hasn't missed many meals, eh?
In regards to the Deformed Republicrats and their politburo politics, I'd just like to paraphrase those newly posted signs that stand for honest choice and offer a good, firm "Row F-them!!!"- Noil Snoil(figure this ID out, comrades!)
