Unelected Republican Tosses Petitions

“Respondent Brian Premo opposes the petition…” Sorry your honor but although you were trying to do the bidding of your party just as in the Brian Premo Democratic petition thrown out so Senator Bruno could run unopposed, the name listed was just as wrong as the highly partisan political decision you wrote.

We’re sure you were trying to screw the wrong Premo. The name you should have written was Mark Premo, the most honest person holding office in North Greenbush who is the last person you could hope to stack up your credibility to and come out ahead. To accuse Mark Premo of any kind of election fraud or any other kind of fraud makes anyone in North Greenbush who knows Premo more than a bit offended.

“Nothing in Article 6 of Election Law…expressly requires a person whose name is set forth as a candidate on a designating petition to provide prior authorization.” Yet despite an unelected Pataki appointee’s written acknowledgement that there was no law broken, he not only throws Premo off his own party ballot, but every other candidate as well, completely disenfranchising the voters of North Greenbush. To say he went out of his way to throw mud at Premo is an understatement. He also found a way to throw a shot at Chip Ashworth who was obviously seen as a threat to GOP backed Evers wining the Conservative primary. Sorry again judge, but Ashworth is a former State Trooper with a sterling reputation and your accusations and inferences are as political as the man who appointed you (Pataki) and the man who confirmed you (Bruno) in this patronage job.

So to set the record straight, voters should be aware which candidates are supporting this effort to remove Premo from the November Ballot. The GOP Team which is allied with the Casale Excavating Conservative Team and the Connolly infiltrated Independence Team are endorsing this slate of candidates:
Evers for Supervisor
Desso for Councilman
Al Spain for Councilman
Connolly for Clerk
Devery for Receiver of Taxes
Carey for Highway Superintendent

Voters can and should send them all packing their bags this November and Democrats especially can send them packing by attending the caucus Jeff Spain must call soon to endorse town Democratic candidates. Supporters of Mark Premo who are enrolled Democrats will be attending. They will not be supporting “Democrats” backed by this coalition of corrupt politicians.

Think Caucus!

Late Financial Disclosure Count:
Today is Day 31 for the North Greenbush Democratic and Conservative Committee violations of State Election Law requiring the filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery. Nor under Michael Casale and his Treasurer, J. David Wos.

The opposition site is truly priceless. Lillian Parsons can't have filed that objection and we all know it. Talk about putting paper in front of someone and telling them to sign. And the crabby face title was won long ago by to Katty or is it pickle-puss? Town employees (she thinks they're all her friends), use both terms to describe her. She looks like she's been sucking lemons all her life. Takes after mom and Tom.
