When the first of three emails came to the North Greenbush Pipeline with scans of Jeff Spain’s bizarre letter attacking the county committee’s votes and bylaws, we have to admit that disbelief was the initial reaction. Anyone with half a brain knew the facts were anything but what Spain had tried to spread in his letter sent to the entire county Democratic committee in an effort to defeat the party bylaws and follow Henry Zwack’s edicts in illegally striking them down.
Spain must believe his own lies or else he just lacks the cognitive skills necessary to digest the English language as enunciated in the bylaws. Perhaps most incredible was his assertion that the county chairman appoints members of the county committee and that the bylaws give Chairman Wade too much power. Apparently Spain cannot recall that it is the committee itself that votes on any nominations to fill vacancies, and that such vacancies are not within the power of the chair to fill. He then proceeds to accuse Wade of appointing his enemies Ashley, Smith and Harrington to the county committee, forgetting for the moment that he was insulting the members of the county committee who voted overwhelmingly to reappoint them to the committee.
Spain also tries a curve ball when he claims he’s a loyal Democrat who supports four Democrats and three Conservatives in this year’s town elections. Wade’s claims that he is supporting Republicans is just not true. Trouble is he forgets to tell the committee that the three Conservatives are the hand picked candidates of the Republican Party and have been formally endorsed by Jack Casey, the GOP County Chair. Gee Mr. Spain, you may think Democrats are dumb, but even a moron would see through that curve and hit it out of the park.
Most offensive is his attack and obsession with Highway Superintendent Mark Premo whom he now accuses along with his other adversaries of being under investigation by the county DA. How low does this man get with his lies, deception and slanderous attacks?
He talks of loyalty and yet it is he who is trying to endorse the GOP slate to run the town board. So we invite you to take him up on his offer in this letter to all him and hear his hate driven speech for yourself. His number is at the bottom of his letter. Tell him you read his garbage on the Pipeline and he's breaking the law every day he fails to file his commitee fiancial report.

Today is Day 33 for the North Greenbush Democratic and Conservative Committee violations of State Election Law requiring the filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery. Nor under Michael Casale and his Treasurer, J. David Wos.

Fair is fair...According to the State Board of Elections, the NG Conservatives have at least registered. They haven't filed any reports and according to all press reports they had "the most successful fundraiser ever" several months back.
Of course, their treasurer, Mrs. Wos has been terribly busy suing people and probably just can't find the time to file reports.
The "reform" Dems. haven't as yet registered their treasurer, the town tax collector, Mr. Devery. I'll bet they found the time to get his name on a bank account!
To be fair, it is Mrs. Wos's husband who is the Treasurer of the Casale Conservative Contractor's Party. The Mrs. is one of the Commitee members along with her husband.
Amazing to see them supporting Kyran Devery, a Democrat who ran against her husband for Tax Collector a few years back. Nice to see you have kissed and made up and all those nasty things you said about your now fellow party treasurer are forgotton. After all you have so much in common since neither of you can apparently figure out how to file a financial disclosure report! (Hint: The State Board of Elections offers help for those with remedial reading difficulties or those with insufficient toes and fingers to add up the those big numbers!)
I agree it's kinda a crazy letter but I've known Jeff all my life and he s always been a little strange. The thing is he's got to be completely off the track to say the things he said about Mr. Premo. He does a great job for our town. As I recall didn't Jeff run for the highway job a few years ago? Could it just be envy or is he eyeing that job again?

Mr. Wos not only filed his reports 10 days early, but was in contact with the State BOE re their software which caused a problem for his computer. The State has informed him that he has met his obligation to them and there is a copy date stamped 7/5/07, at the County BOE. Just because you can't go online and stick you nose in other peoples business, doesn't mean the law wasn't followed. Mr. Wos also retired from a job of high responsiblity after more than 20 years. What jobs have you held, xxxxxle? As far as remedikal reading, Mr. Wos speaks German and some Spanish along with being very literate indeed.I spend my free time making sure that dishonest people like you answer for their actions. For the record, profanity will not be permitted on this site. Secondly, these financial reports are PUBLIC business, not private concerns of which we have no right to inquire. Also the law requires on line disclosure. Your husband has failed to meet this responsibility as Treasurer. Surely so literate a gentleman as Mr. Wos can obtain the necessary computer assistance to get the Commitee financial disclosure filed on line? Tell us if we may impose, why your candidte for Receiver of Taxes, Democrat Kyran Devery has been unable to meet this legal responsibility. Perhaps he is sharing your computer along with your Conservative Contrator Party endorsement?

We published Ms. Wos's last comment because nothing before stated really demonstrates the degree of class she possesses.
