Premo Receives Major Endorsement

All eyes were on the Rensselaer County Democratic Chairman, Thomas Wade Saturday at the Premo Picnic fundraiser at the town beach. With a great enthusiastic crowd in attendence, Chairman Wade took the microphone and said he was going to do something he doesn't normally do, make an endorsement in a local race. He then praised the work and reputation of Mark Premo and declared his public endorsement for the Democratic nomination and re-election of Mark Premo.

The announcement was met with thundering applauce and cheers as if someone in authority within the divided Democratic organization finally stood up and said enough, Democrats need not be afraid to stand and support a good man and worthy public servant.

Given other comments from the County Chairman related to NG Chair Jeff Spain's lawsuit agaainst the county committee, it is clear that Wade believes that Spain's actions against Premo and in support of the GOP slate for town offices is proof enought that Spain is working with Republicans to take control of North Greenbush and raise havoc within the Democratic Party county wide.

Whatever the outcome, it is clear Democrats no longer need to be afraid tostand up and support Premo and any other candidtes who oppose Spain and his supporters, the Connollys,Kyran Devery and F. James Germano.

Democrats expect the Spain side to call a caucus as early as the last week of August and are looking forward to taking their party back from the Republicans who Spain is working with and supporting.

Late Financial Disclosure Count:

Today is Day 22 for the North Greenbush Democratic and Conservative Committee violations of State Election Law requiring the filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery. Nor under Michael Casale and his Treasurer, J. David Wos.

It can't be much clearer to true DEMOCRATS that the reformers are "wolfs in sheeps clothing".When the chairman of our party is willing to step up to the plate- we as democrats should listen. We live day to day without even knowing how our voices will be heard- The chairman did it for us!

I also throw my support to Mark Premo. Clear thinking adults should be capable of endorsing Mark and not Ashley or Smith. There are to many agendas on both sides of the Democrat debacle in this Town. We need people that will do the job and no one has said that Mark Premo has done a bad job. I am looking forward to a lively caucus.

How refreshing to see this in North Greenbush...an employee was hailed for his hard, honest work. It is even more refreshing to see a North Greenbush public servant who is willing to stand up to the corruption and not play their game. What a role model! There is hope for North Greenbush after all.
