Out of Town Support

When the Pipeline got a peak at those County GOP petitions for the Democratic town slate, we couldn’t help but notice the obvious. Most of those who witnessed the signatures for Evers and Desso don’t live here in town. In fact 19 of the 25 people who got signatures for the ticket lived in places as far away as Malta and as close as East Greenbush and Troy.

We stated earlier that the State GOP had ordered its minions into North Greenbush to get signature because the majority of the town committee had refused. But we never realized just how true that statement was. There were two folks from Colonie, one from Cohoes and Malta, two from Schodack including one Richard Crist, the subject of a Special Prosecutor’s investigation, five from Albany, one each from Coeymans, Schenectady, Glenmont, Niskayuna, Voorhesville and Delmar.

Add that to the six county GOP loyalists from North Greenbush and you can see that those Republicans who know them best refused to get signatures for the Conservative duo being backed by the Spain reformed Dems and their mentor F. James Germano.

But we welcome those out of town Republicans with State jobs who followed orders and came here to stick the town with Evers and Desso in an effort to prevent a contested election by having the same candidates on every ballot line. That’s Democratc as defined in our little corner of America, the Town of North Greenbush.

Late Financial Disclosure Count:

Today is Day 18 for the North Greenbush Democratic and Conservative Committee violations of State Election Law requiring the filing of a Financial Disclosure Report due July 15, 2007. Laws apparently don’t apply to the “reformed” democrats under Jeff Spain and his Treasurer, Tax Collector Kyran Devery. Nor under Michael Casale and his Treasurer, J. David Wos.

Moral of the story: When someone asks you to sign a petition, ask where they are from. If you really want to be sure ask for I.D.

We can only blame ourselves for the government we get. There are more non-corrupt residents in North Greenbush. Our town has been hyjacked and if it continues...its our own fault. Apathy will be the demise of us.
