Ever since word started to spread through North Greenbush that the contractor Conservatives under the Chairmanship of Casale Excavating were joining F. James Germano’s “reformed” Democrats and the Connolly’s Independence Party to try to give Highway Superintendent Mark Premo the “boot”, much consternation has engulfed their political forces.
To be blunt, voters are pissed at their political shenanigans and revenge tactics. The Town Clerk has waged a behind the scenes war against Premo calling him disloyal and angry that he has refused to march to the demand that he disown their political adversaries in order to receive their support for party endorsements. Rumor has it she is the author of a severely spelling challenged blog that can’t spell truth on its header, nonetheless write it in the pages.
F.James Germano’s hand picked candidate to challenge Premo is Michael Carey, a local electrical contractor and developer who apparently receives financial backing from Casale’s profitable blank check water contracts.
Carey is apparently having second thoughts and is looking for a way to get himself out of a messy situation which was never clearly reasoned, but rather driven by hatred and a desire for control and revenge. All that repair work that the Highway Department has been forced to do because Casale has disappeared from the job in North Greenbush will get billed back to the water contract by Premo. The same might not be said if Casale had his boy in charge of the Highway Department meaning lots of extra bucks from the contract.
So it was no surprise when we learned that Carey is looking for an opportunity to punt his candidacy before Team Premo runs over him and his misguided candidacy. Just what we need hey, a developer trying to run the highway department. Great play from the bench!

WOLF ---I SAY !!! HE IS A WOLF IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING and anyone with 1/2 a brain(that lets the clerk out) WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM. THE SENIORS ARE OUTRAGED AT THE POTENTIAL OF GREATLY INCREASED TAXES IF CAREY WERE TO BE JAMMED AT US.
THE WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THE CLERK IS VIOLENT WITH HER TEMPER IN THE OFFICE TO HER FELLOW WORKERS?? IS SHE CREAKING FROM THE PRESSURE??
I just read the latest article in your blog with the comment by another concerned taxpayer. I have also heard that the clerk is "off the wall" and has lashed out to taxpayers trying to get answers to problems they have. Is there a problem or has she been this way all along? These town officials keeps getting worse. Thank you for letting us know of the alarming attitude of our elected clerk and the attempt of this CAREY to screw the taxpayers by "fixing" his developments.WOW!!LORD HELP US!!!
MY ROAD IS STILL NOT REPAIRED FROM 1 YEAR AGO- I CALLED THE CLERK AND SHE SAID "IT MAY NEVER GET REPAIRED"..BUT I CALLED MR. PREMO AND HE HELPED US OUT. THE SUPERVISOR/CLERK/WATER PEOPLE DID NOTHING.WE ON THIS STREET WILL BE VOTING FOR THE ONE THAT HELPED US.THE TREES ARE A MESS AND THE INSPECTOR TOLD US "WE WOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT"
