Contractor seeks your money at party to take over town government
It seemed just a bit ironic when the flier was first shown to us. The contractor who has been milking a 6.4 million dollar contract to build Water District 14 is asking for your contributions so he and his allies in the “reform” Democratic Party can take control of town government. By simply trading his hard hat for his political hat as Chairman of the Town Conservative Committee, Casale Excavating is in effect holding a fundraiser to raise money other than that derived from his seemingly blank check contract to finance his candidates and control of the town board.
On Wednesday May 23, you can help Casale Excavating attain their ultimate goal of taking over the North Greenbush Town Board by donating $30 to their committee fund raiser at the Elks. While there you can ask Building Department employee and Conservative Committeeman Michael Miner why he authorized all that extra money to his Conservative Chairman’s company without telling the town board or legal staff and without required change orders?
The total to date is $740,000 over the bid, which includes a bonus check illegally provided to the company by the Conservative Supervisor Mark Evers for $83,000. We understand that there are at least two more bills Mr. Evers has been afraid to pay after town resident Robert Price sued his butt in State Court to exchange Evers for the money and remove the Supervisor from office. Now there’s a prisoner exchange worth thinking about!
The ability of a person or business entity to take over political committees within a town and gain substantial control over the process of nominating candidates for town board can only take place under certain conditions. It happened several years ago in the Poughkeepsie area when Pyramid Corporation funnelled money into town board races so they could get a mall built on RT 9. All of those condidtions appear to exist in North Greenbush.
First, access to sufficient funds to win a majority of committee seats from each party within the town’s election districts. A 6.4 million dollar and counting water district contract seems like enough money. Second a relatively small number of seats needed to win. It would be inpossible to take control of a commitee in a large city like Albany or Troy with over a hundred committee seats. In North Greenbush there are only 16 committee seats in each political committee, 2 from each of the 8 election districts. One needs to win a majority of the seats by weighted vote to win control of the committees.
Amazingly, someone donated $2000 to the reform Democrats to win committee seats. Imagine, $2000 from a contractor, not for a State Assembly seat or Senate seat but for a committee seat. That’s a determined man with a thick wallet and a motive to run the town because he sure isn’t getting a bill through the State Legislature or Congress by donating big bucks to win committee seats in any party.
So it appears that folks with connections to the development community want control of the town board, its Comprehensive Plan Committee, its Planning and Zoning Boards and unquestioned continued payments over the bid to the Conservative Contractor in Water District 14. Casale Excavating took control of the town Conservative Committee and appears to have an incredibly cozy relationship with the reform Democrats that barely took charge of the town Democratic Party. Cozy enough that the Dems appear to be ready to endorse his Vice Chairman, Lou Desso and his Conservative Supervisor, Mark Evers who was literally divorced by former Democratic Chairman Dan Ashley after Evers turned his back on key party platform issues involving development and planning. Solution, take over the Democratic and Conservative Parties, nominate the candidates who will do your bidding with town planning and water funds and take over!
Now all you have to do is ease some of the financial pain of the rest of the takeover by donating to a Conservative Contractor’s Fundraising Party. Better donate soon or you’ll never get your driveway fixed.
Oh yes, send your check, preferably for $2000 or more to:
North Greenbush Conservative Committee
A Division of Casale Excavating
Box 272
Wynantskill, NY 12198.
If your check is sent to the Democratic Committee by mistake at Box 675, rest assured it will be quickly forwarded by the reform Dems who are likely to be in the audience of this $740,000 and counting committee party just as the Conservatives were in the audience of the Dems recent dinner at the American Legion.
Now pour yourself a glass of that expensive water and get your checkbook. Be sure and say hello to their support group of Jim Germano, Jeffrey Spain, Kathryn Connolly, William O'Neil, Michael Carey, Lou Desso, Lou Cotrona, JR and Michael Casale. Pipe wrenches are optional attire.

It's just incredible what's going on here. This guy is using our money to take over the town. Have the Democrats running the party lost their minds along with their integrity?
Ah yes...I received an invitation in the mail to the Conservative shin-dig. As I read all the candidates names from each district who wished to thank their constituients it read like a dirty dozen of who's who in the world of corruption. I was thinking how good their faces would look on playing cards representing those we want out of office. And to think a few of those people I voted for. Voters don't feel very good when lied to and will be sure to demostrate that in the next election.
