Whispering Donuts and the Southeast Whitehouse

We hear all kinds of whispers at the North Greenbush Pipeline. Some of the best ones come from our own Dunkin’ Donuts and McDonald’s. Seems Sunday (April Fools Day) the new trio running the Democratic Party was busy plotting against those they view disloyal. Louis Cotrona, Jeffery Spain and Edward Casino were whispering about a planned fundraiser on April 27th and what to do about Highway Superintendent Mark Premo.
Seems the trio can’t tolerate anyone who does not share their dislike for political rivals and would like to purge the highly popular Mr. Premo from the Democratic ticket in retaliation for his friendship with their party rivals.
Mr. Premo has the right idea. He does his job very well and tries to maintain good relationships with everyone. That not only includes Democrats from both sides of this fight but Republicans and Conservatives with whom he maintains good relationships and the same level of service regardless of political affiliation. If the pattern repeats itself, dark whispers will filter out from town hall to the media which paint a tale of ineptitude about Mr. Premo.
Fresh back from his Florida vacation, Vice Chair of the Reform Democrats, Edward Casino must have received guidance from mentor F. James Germano whose “Southeast Whitehouse” is also on the Florida peninsula. Word is they are planning to run the former Highway Superintendent Frank Guiliano to challenge Mr. Premo for the Democratic nomination. Mr. Guiliano is a “reformed” committee person who works part time in town hall. He is a “nice guy” but with all due respect, was booted from office by voters in favor of Dick Roberts. Today with his leg making walking difficult, he is hardly in shape to do the often labor intensive work of a Highway Superintendent.
We at the North Greenbush Pipeline hope that Mr. Guiliano does not let the politics of revenge replace sound judgement and politely tell his party bosses, “No thank you!” In the end, it is the Republican Party that is winning this struggle, without so much as firing a single shot.
