Desso Stonewalling County on Sewer Hookups

A recent meeting of county and town officials to discuss and fully disclose all town sewer hookups to the county sewer system ended before it started with the town disclosing none of the hookups. Presumably this includes the extension and possible hookup of Supervisor Lou Desso.

On the side of the town was town board member Kelly Hoffman and on the side of the county was county legislator Kelly Hoffman. Whoops! But that's what happens when laws are changed for political convenience thereby creating gross conflicts of interest.

You may recall we published a letter from the county to the Supervisor seeking answers on June 27, 2018 which you can read here.  Whether Desso is engaged in favors for developers and contributors for the approximately 18 units being investigated by the county is anyone's guess. But without the town reporting them, the county cannot collect its taxes.

The cancellation of the meeting which was supposed to take place last Friday leaves the county with a choice. FOIL the town or sue the town. Time will tell.
