You might call it Lou Desso's Greatest Hits, an assortment of the don'ts you avoid in public life. Space was probably the only thing that kept the many other examples of Desso's conduct from being listed, but hey this one will take a while to read and will shake up and expose a good many folks who keep company with Mr. Desso.
Apparently he not only accepted free top soil for his new sub division but also has never paid another contractor/developer for his share of a new sewer extension. Sound familiar? That developer has a major project underway in the town and has apparently not billed Desso for his $10,000 share of the main line extension but has billed the only other homeowner for his share. Is it that he does not need the money? Well, there are several liens out there on this contractor which indicate he needs cash.
Another embarrassing read for North Greenbush and a special thanks to the Town Board Majority that for years has sat back and let this guy run wild. In case you were wondering, the article is a road map for a Federal investigation and we hear the white collar crime division in Albany reads the Times Union. Stay tuned.
